Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. She spent most of her childhood listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs along with classic classical music. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous chamber and opera choirs. When she moved to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher and performer because of her passion for music and arts. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
